Baffin Bay
A Fisherman's Heaven

You'll find trout fishing heaven, just about 20 miles south of Kingsville that once was called "the French Riviera of Texas". History tells us that a once beautifully landscaped boulevard, quot; The Buena Vista Boulevard" led to a luxurious resort hotel, the "Buena Vista Hotel," complete with a restaurant, ice house, general store, ice cream parlor and observation tower looking out over the peaceful water of Baffin Bay. People came from all over to relax in the year-round warm climate and salty air, to dance at the hotel dance hall and enjoy the amenities of a first-class resort. Two hurricanes and a fire destroyed the resort and it has never been rebuilt.

Baffin Bay remains a fisherman's haven. Award-winning trophy trout are the pride of many-a-fishermen. Experienced fishermen and guides maneuver the tricky rock formations just under the surface of the water at the back of the bay for fishing experiences of which most only dream. Fishing the mouth of Baffin is only good fishing. It's at the "Back Door of Baffin Bay" where the great fishing stories are "For Real".
